The Frequency Festival is an annual musical event that is organized by T-Mobile. It is a three day festival that lasts from 19th – 21 August 2010 in Green Park. It is one of the most popular music festivals in the world.
Every year, tourists from around the world will travel to the Frequency festival to catch the live performances of their favorite singers. The Frequency Festival 2010 is the 10th round. The performances of the music concert will start at 1 p.m. The music festival is held at the Green Park in St. Polten. The line up at the Stage Race includes Gogol Bordello, Nofx, White Lies, Kaxon, Madsen, Martina Topley Bird, Billy Talent, and Zoot Women. The line up for the green stage includes Bad Religion, La Roux, The Specials, Jan Delay, Wallis Bird, and Johnossi.
The festival operates in conjunction with the Green Events Austria. The Green Events Austria is an environmentally friendly program that is organized by Austrian Institute of Ecology. The purpose of the Green Events Austria is to generate environmental awareness and encourage people to look after the environment.
The Am camp offers spaces for the visitors to set up their tents. You will have to take your tents to the festivals. In this year, the campsite will have a public barbecue area. The griller in the public barbecue area is provided and cared by the staff. The staff will help you to grill the fresh food such as sausages, chicken meat, beef and etc. The opening hours of the barbecue public area is from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. The camping There is a built in caravan park. The caravan park is located nearby to the car park. If you want to park your caravan at the caravan park, you must purchase the admission ticket. You should get ready the ticket when driving in to the caravan site so that the officer can check. If you want to protect your valuable items, you can keep them the lockers at the campsite. The small locker cost 3 Euros per day while the large locker cost 5 Euros per day.
You can arrive at the Frequency Festival through a number of transportation methods such as flights, train, bus, and car. The St. Polten station offers free bus shuttle service to the St. Polten Station festival site. If you are traveling by car, you can take the A1 motorway and drive to Salzbur, Linz and subsequently to Sankt Polten. Tourists that are from Munich should drive the A1 motorway into Vienna. After that, you should take the St. Polten Sud exit.
The ticket cost for the three days festivals cost 110 Euros. Each person can purchase up to a maximum of 6 tickets. If you order for more tickets, they will automatically be cancelled. The ticket includes the weekend festival pass. The weekend festival pass had counted in the cost for the camping and parking. You must purchase the Frequency Festival ticket online. After you have purchased the ticket, you can collect it from the ticket office at the Frequency festival. You have to print out the email confirmation and an identity card to retrieve the ticket.
